(NYSE Amex: DSS; "DSS"), a world-wide developer and manufacturer of security and authentication solutions which prevent counterfeiting and brand fraud announced today that its VP of Research and Development, David Wicker was named Chairman of the Document Security Alliance's Committee on U.S. Drivers License Counterfeiting which was formed to review security and recommend solutions on U.S. drivers licenses and other state issued identification documents.

The Document Security Alliance (DSA) was created by government agencies, private industry and academia. DSA's goal is to identify methods of improving security documents and related procedures to help combat the growing acts of fraud, terrorism, illegal immigration, identity theft, and other criminal acts.

DSA members - in both government and private industry - draw upon a wide range of knowledge and detailed technical disciplines to accomplish this goal. The group is committed to develop recommendations to appropriate federal and state government agencies, private industry, and policy makers in order to improve the process and procedures surrounding document security.

David Wicker has been a member of DSA for 6 years and has worked on several projects including the Social Security Card and birth certificate white papers.  David has spent over 35 years in the security printing industry.  He is an inventor of security print technologies who has been awarded 10 U.S. and international patents and has multiple patent applications pending.  In addition, Mr. Wicker also teaches a periodic seminar at Rochester Institute of Technology, instructing law enforcement officials how to recognize paper and ID card security features.

David is an advisory board member of CIMIP (Center for Identity Management and Information Protection) at Utica College, a member of NASPO (North American Security Products Organization), and CACP (Coalition against Counterfeiting and Piracy).
