MIDLAND, VA--(Marketwired - Aug 25, 2015) -  Easi-Set Worldwide, a subsidiary of the Smith-Midland Corporation (DE) (OTCQB: SMID) is pleased to welcome the Southeastern Region of Oldcastle Precast Inc. as its latest licensed precast product producer. This is the third Oldcastle location to join the Easi-Set network with Easton, Pa., being the second and Lexington, Ky., being the first. The Georgia and Pennsylvania plants produce Easi-Set Buildings, and the Kentucky facility manufactures J-J Hooks barriers.

"We are pleased with the success of Oldcastle Easton, Pa., that joined our network in 2013," says Moffette Tharpe, managing director of Easi-Set Worldwide. "They have made a name for themselves in the parks and recreation, schools, and water and wastewater markets. We are excited to work with the Georgia plant to grow the Easi-Set Building offerings in the Oldcastle Southeastern Region, covering Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi, and to support them in expanding their capabilities."

Oldcastle has two plants in Georgia, and the Newnan, Ga. facility will be the main producer of Easi-Set Buildings. Oldcastle is the latest of 70 licensed precast concrete producers in 10 countries that manufacture Easi-Set products. The producers are trained in their own facilities by Easi-Set representatives to manufacture up to five different Easi-Set products. The Easi-Set Building product lines include Easi-Set precast concrete buildings, Easi-Span ultra-large buildings and Easi-Set restrooms. Additional licensed producer choices include SlenderWall® architectural precast cladding panels, J-J Hooks, SoftSound noise walls and Beach Prisms.

The producers receive technical, business and marketing assistance during every step of the licensee relationship. Customers benefit from this licensed producer network because they can purchase precast concrete products locally while receiving a higher level of customer service by working with a regional supplier.

There are about 30 employees in the Newnan plant who will be engaged in manufacturing Easi-Set Buildings. In addition, being the second Oldcastle plant to manufacture Easi-Set Buildings, the Georgia group has additional resources from which to pull. "After several discussions with the Pennsylvania plant, their willingness to assist the Newnan plant has been tremendous," says Gene Drake, vice president and general manager of Oldcastle. "We have shared pricing modules, estimating procedures and manufacturing techniques. We plan to visit the plant in a few weeks to learn even more."

According to Drake, Oldcastle already has received interest in the Easi-Set products, and customers are excited that Easi-set is now available via Oldcastle in the region. Oldcastle has a strong customer base because of its product diversity, plant capacity, engineering expertise and more than 30 years of experience. In the Southeastern region, the company currently works in all markets except for parks/recreation.

Oldcastle prides itself on helping its customers see the big picture when it comes to precast concrete buildings by pointing out that higher shipping and freight costs are actually offset by monetary savings, as well as product longevity and strength, design aesthetics and installation ease. Drake notes: "General contractors save time and money onsite when using an Easi-Set Building because they do not have to form, erect and assemble onsite. We also can have the complete structure inspected at the factory by an authorized third-party agency so a customer is exempt from local inspections and permits. Additionally, we have experienced Oldcastle personnel and established contractors who can perform full turnkey services for the buildings."
