The foundation of modern security relies on encryption technology to protect sensitive data and maintain user privacy. However, it is a well-known fact that encryption technology comes with a price: increased latency. These latencies get worse when the key sizes are increased to stave off the continued advances in computing horsepower. Depending on the file size and underlying hardware, performance improvements of up to 50% can be seen which in turn leads to better utilization, higher efficiency, and greater scalability when deploying encryption technology.
