Midland, VA, March 14, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- : Easi-Set Worldwide, a subsidiary of Smith-Midland Corporation (OTCQX: SMID) product announcement.  On February 9, 2018, The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) issued Federal-Aid Eligibility Letter B300 for the J-J Hooks free-standing MASH TL3 highway safety barrier design. Previously FHWA had issued Letter of Eligibility B52B for the J-J Hooks MASH bolted to concrete barriers and B52C for the J-J Hooks MASH pinned to asphalt barriers.

With the issuance of this Eligibility Letter J-J Hooks now provide State DOTs with a full suite of free-standing and restrained (bolted or pinned) MASH (Manual of Safety Hardware) TL3-tested designs. Their availability in the marketplace is nearly two years ahead of the “sunset” date requirement contained in the January 7, 2016 AASHTO/FHWA Joint Implementation Agreement for MASH.
