(Nasdaq:PRKR), a developer and marketer of semiconductor technology solutions for wireless applications, today announced that it expanded its patent portfolio worldwide with the issuance of fourteen new U.S. patents and eleven new international patents since the beginning of 2013. The international patents cover a number of countries including Japan, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The 2013 issuances represent a nearly 12% growth in the Company's overall patent portfolio, which now includes 163 U.S. and 73 foreign patents, with lives extending out to 2029.

The patents issued in 2013 generally relate to radio-frequency ("RF") power transmission, modulation and amplification, direct conversion receiver technology, and additional receiver and transmitter applications and circuitry.
