New York, NY September 23, 2013, Aegis Capital Corp. is pleased to announce the hiring of Jayanta (JAY) Datta, as a Senior Research Technology Analyst. Prior to Joining Aegis Capital Jay worked in the securities industry as a Technology Equity Analyst at B. Riley and Albert Fried. From 2004-2009 Jay worked as an asset manager for Palisade Capital and other buy side firms, where he was a Vice President and Senior Technology Analyst. From 2000-2003, Jay was a semi-conductor Equity Analyst for Hoefer and Arnett (now part of Raymond James). Jay has been ranked as a Five Star Analyst by Zacks.
Jay received his MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. Jay received his MS from Southern Illinois in engineering. He currently is Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 registered and has passed his CFA Level II.
