New York, NY November 6, 2012, Aegis Capital is pleased to announce the hiring of Anthony Polak, Ron Lazar and Jamie Polak as Managing Directors of Investments. The Team currently manages over 140 Million in customer assets and has always established itself on the top tier of investment advisors.

Anthony Polak has been in the securities business for over 40 years. Previously, Anthony was with Maxim Group from 2000 to 2012, where he was a First Vice President and Registered Investment Advisor. Prior to Maxim Group Anthony was with Investec Ernst. Anthony started his career at Equity Interest, where he rose to President from 1972-1977. Tony received his BA and MBA from the American University and has volunteered throughout his career to various charity organizations.

Ron Lazar previously was with Maxim Group, as a Senior Vice President. For over 30 years Ron has been involved in researching, trading and investment management. Ron has been quoted in Business Week, New York Times, and Barron’s.

Jamie previously was with Maxim Group, where he focused his research on small to mid-cap U.S. listed equities. Prior to Maxim, Jamie worked as a multimedia producer for Bloomberg L.P., providing analysis and reporting for the Bloomberg terminals. Jamie started his career as an Equity Research Associate for Gruntal & Co. L.L.C., specializing in Internet Software and Biotechnology companies in the early 2000s.

Jamie holds a BBA from the George Washington University and an MBA from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
